It was so surprising to see an article about the Sega Dreamcast the other day on Yahoo news. The full reason why it is making a comeback isn’t quite known, but is believed to be linked to the recession.

I have decided to get a jump ahead of the spring cleaning of my basement in preparation for a long anticipated renovation. Having two children, I‘ve found toys that has brought back a lot of memories, and some I’d even forgotten about…a Talking Elmo, tons of Barbies and related accessories, Star Wars action figures, Transformers, and board games. The antique rocking horse that my children spent many hours pretending they were cowgirls or cowboys is also on the list to move out.
I found lots of playdoh which I am sure I will continue to find as we renovate—all colors of the rainbow. The play tents where many a picnic was hosted, and a great place to hide during “Hide and Seek” are also going to make their way to another loving child who will hopefully cherish them as much as ours did.
