Michael Jackson Memorabilia Insanity on eBay

Michael-Jackson-Glove

Well since our last Michael Jackson blog on June 26th, items listed on eBay have nearly doubled.  Just a few days ago there were 31,000+ items up for BID or BIN and today there are over 61,000+ listings on eBay.  Some of the collectibles are truly unique while others are trying to net in suckers.

My favorites are the Thriller Beat It Tour t-shirts for $190 or the LA Times newspaper for $10,000.  Some people must think grieving fans are really gullible.

Here are some numbers for some of the more popular items listed:

5400+ Michael Jackson CD's

Surprisingly only 300+ Michael Jackson Autographs

6000+ Michael Jackson T-Shirts

800+ Michael Jackson Memorial T-Shirts

3500+ Michael Jackson Photos

2500+ Michael Jackson Vinyl

1500+ Michael Jackson Newspapers

15,000 Michael Jackson Records

3600+ Michael Jackson Books

9000+Michael Jackson Thriller items

400+ Michael Jackson Gloves

Apple MacBook iPhone Diamond Bling Fest

Macbook-iPhone-Diamond-Bling While I was browsing GetItNext to find myself a brand new 3g iPhone, I stumbled upon this truly amazing auction from TraxNYC. The company is selling a top of the line Men’s Diamond Ring, Cross, Bracelet and Watch along with a Mac Book Pro and the highly desired iPhone.  Not sure how it all ties together but in this economy why not do the opposite of reality and aim high.  Maybe their target market is all the Yankees fans that sit in the new legends seats.

Here is a link to the bling fest if you want to view the actual listing: Diamond iPhone MacBook.

Listing details: the diamond ring, which is claimed to be one of the finest on the market, contains 7 huge stones surrounded by an array of smaller diamonds giving it a fully covered diamond surface for ultimate shine. The auction also describes the one of a kind cross and bracelet. The cross displays a fully invisible concave setting, one of the most popular diamond settings on the market today. The bracelet is another true masterpiece; the surface is 100% fully iced with pave set VS Stones set in 14k gold. On top of all this cool ‘Bling-Bling’ you also the coolest gadgets, an iPhone and Macbook Pro!

Bernie Madoff Piggy Bank, The Gift That Keeps on Taking

Bernie-madoff-piggy-bank I figured an appropriate way to celebrate the news of Bernie Madoff spending his first night in jail, would be to post a funny blog.  Well I hope you like it.

Check out this Bernie Madoff Piggy Bank that is selling for top dollar on eBay.  The bank is a caricature of Bernie Madoff and the back features stacks of money bags.  It has an inoperable plug at the bottom so your money goes in but does NOT come out.

So far the bidding for this item is fierce with many of the limited edition pieces going for over $200.

867-5309 - Jenny Don't Change Your Number On eBay

867-5309-Jenny One of the last remaining 867-5309 phone numbers left in the country is for sale on eBay.  As many of you know the number was made famous by Tommy Tutone in 1982 by his song called 867-5309/Jenny.

Many people thought 867-5309 was the real number of a girl named Jenny.  The song caused a blitz of people dialing 867-5309 (which was a valid number in the US) and asking if Jenny was there.  Now many years later most of the 867-5309 numbers have been taken out of service because of constant nuisance calls.

However, there are a few left and right now one of the last remaining is on eBay.  A New Jersey DJ is selling his 867-5309 number and claims he receives between 8000 - 10,000 calls per year making this the perfect number for a business.  To check out the auction here is a link, 867-5309 Phone Number.
