The 80’s were chock full of quirky fashion, fads and gimmicks. Some should never return to see the light of day again. Others are too good to be retired. Let’s take a walk down memory lane together.
What should never be seen again: asymmetrical hair-cuts, shoulder pads, enormously big hair, boom boxes, parachute pants, banana hair clips, jelly shoes (they always tore your feet apart), 80’s prom and bridal dresses, lacey gloves, mullets, Swatch watches and girls who bathed in Love’s Baby Soft Perfume.
Things we are not embarrassed to share with our children: Skate boarding, Vans shoes, break dancing, mini-skirts, Shrinky Dinks, Rubik’s Cube, the game of Trivial Pursuit, Underoos, Connect Four, Cabbage Patch dolls, Pop Rocks, Converse sneakers, leather pants and Ray Ban Wayfarers.
Go ahead…pull out those old photos. I bet you owned a lot of these items and you rocked it!
