How to Find Great Deals on Coca Cola Collectibles in 2009

Coca Cola Image Coca Cola is the most highly recognized drink of all time. It is sold online, in vending machines, restaurants, and any supermarket imaginable.

To give you some history on Coca Cola, or simply “Coke”, was created in 1886 in the great state of Georgia. It was originally intended as a patient medicine, but people loved the taste of Coke so much that it later became recognized as a drink.

Throughout the years, coke has produced many different bottles, glasses, watches, belts, key chains, poker chips, pins, playing cards, refrigerator, signs, magnets the list goes on and on!

Because of the tremendous success Coke has enjoyed over the years, vintage coke collectible items like the ones mentioned above, have become valuable pieces of history worth collecting.

If you love collecting Coke products like me, you can join the Coca-Cola Collectors Club! Find great deals on all of these Coke collectibles at GetItNext!

Sega Dreamcast System is making a comeback!

Dreamcast Image It was so surprising to see an article about the Sega Dreamcast the other day on Yahoo news. The full reason why it is making a comeback isn’t quite known, but is believed to be linked to the recession.

The history of this console is that the Dreamcast came out in 1998 and was the last system Sega ever manufactured. It surpassed Playstation and Nintendo 64 back in its day because of its superior graphics at the time. You can find great deals on this console at GetItNext!

Back In My Day…a Recollection of my Grandparent’s Technology

First-computer My daughter asked me the other day; “what is a record”?  She was referring to a vinyl LP record, and I found myself stumbling to try to answer her question.  It made me realize just how much technology has changed in my lifetime.  From a music standpoint, I remember 8 track players and 45 records that needed a little disc insert to be played on a turn table.  When we got our first compact disc player, I felt like we jumped decades ahead.  If I felt this way, imagine how our grandparents must feel.

In their time, they saw the first computer, used rotary phones and bulky video cameras.  Now, a compact cell phone conveniently does all that and more.  Even common every day routines have changed in leaps and bounds.  Laundry was a hassle, hanging the wet clothes on a clothesline to dry and hoping it didn’t rain while you were out.  Now, clothes washers and dryers are synced to do a load in each, in the same amount of time.  The purchase of a dishwasher was another big deal in their house though they only used it “when company was over because they didn’t want to break it with everyday use”.   If only they had the “china” option for these gatherings?  They remember when microwaves were huge futuristic boxes that took up your entire counter space and didn’t have a “popcorn” setting.  And today’s refrigerators are more than cold storage for food like in their day.   With built in computers and television capabilities and parts that can be rearranged to suit your needs, they morph like a Transformer character and keep food chilled at several different temperatures.

Though resistant at first, my grandparents have embraced the change and now find it hard to live without these conveniences.  However, the one thing from the past that still repeats even in my house…you have to find what you want in the ‘fridge quickly and shut the door because we don’t own the power company!
