Great Deals on Cell Phones!

Phone Image We have all gone through the struggles of buying a cell phone. If you buy a phone through your carrier, you are automatically trapped into a 2-year plan, and once on that plan, you cannot switch your phone with another until the contract is up. If you break your phone and don not have insurance, you then face the dilemma of spending hundreds of dollars on a replacement phone. The list of problems goes on and on, but there is a simple solution. You can find great deals on used phones through companies like Blackberry, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Sidekick, Sony Ericsson, LG, Audiovox, HTC and Palm at GetItNext and never be confined to the same phone for 2 years! So find great deals on phones through GetItNext!

Blackberry Taking Apple By Storm

Apple-iphone-bad  Looking over the October eBay product searches, I noticed an interesting omission in the top 10.  No Apple 3g iPhone, instead the Blackberry Storm is in the top 10.  Even more interesting is that NO Apple products were in the top 10, no iPod, Macbook, iMac, nothing.  Things that make you go hmm as an Apple shareholder.

The Top 5 Blackberry Accessories

Blackberry8820 After the long awaited formal announcement of the new 8820 earlier this week, Blackberry has finally offered a solution its users have been asking for, for years. While the 8820 does not have a camera, I’m sure most people are happy to sacrifice the camera to have Wi-Fi capabilities.

Prior to Blackberry's announcement earlier this week, all smart-phone related news over theIphoneparallels_2 past month or so had been centered around the Apple iPhone. Once the 8820 hits the market, analysts will spend extensive time comparing it to the iPhone while consumers will eagerly be comparing iPhone deals with the best deals for Blackberry devices.

While there are not that many different iPhone accessories out there yet, Blackberry seems to have a large variety of Blackberry Accessories available to users. Here are deals for 5 of the most popular accessories for Blackberry devices:

1. Blackberry Bluetooth Headset + Charger 464831k
2. Blackberry Keyboards – USB & Wireless
3. Blackberry MicroSD Card
4. Blackberry Power Station + Battery Charger
5. Piel Frama BlackBerry Leather Case

For all those Apple lovers – don’t worry… before you know it, there will be just as many – if not more – iPhone accessories available to you!

Blackberry is now Wi-Fi - 8820 formally announced

Blackberry_8820_2 The long anticipated Blackberry 8820 has finally been formally annouced.  After months of speculation it is confirmed that latest Blackberry includes a feature long asked for by Blackberry users - Wi-Fi!

In fact the 8820 uses EDGE/GPRS/GSM cellular and Wi-Fi(R) connectivity for data access and voice support through UMA (unlicensed mobile access) for fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) service offerings from various wireless carriers around the world.  One notable exception from it's feature list is a camera phone.  The 8820 does not have a camera.

Key New Features:

  • Wi-Fi
  • Built-in GPS
  • microSD expansion memory slot that can support both microSD (up to 2GB) and microSDHC (4GB to 32GB) memory cards

No release date has been announced.  Although some have speculated this is Blackberry's response to the iPhone that is unlikely given the long product development cycles at RIMM.  The product has been in the works for months.
