Even though the Christmas rush has long since subsided the demand for a Wii is just as strong as ever. This past Saturday I was at the local Toys R Us and noticed a huge lineup of people. They were all standing in line for either a Nintendo Wii or a PS2 Guitar Hero bundle. There had to be 80 people in that line and it's not even Christmas.
I have to admit I really love my Wii. It's a completely different spin on gaming because the way that you need to play. For those of you who's never experienced a good Wii game you need to stand and move around with 2 controllers to play the game. It's not just a test of your eyes and thumbs like classic video game consoles. Admittedly the graphics won't blow you away like they do on a PS3 or a XBOX but a Wii is a ton of fun for everyone: young or old; expereienced gamer or never played a video game in my life.
For anyone looking for an excuse to buy one consider the fact that old age homes are buying them for exercise purposes. You could always use the excuse that you bought your Wii to be a cool piece exercise equipment. Go ahead, I won't tell anyone.
