I've always loved cookie jars, not sure why. Reminds me of being at Grandma's and trying to sneak as many cookies without being detected. Anyway I'm in the market for a cookie jar and decided to do a quick scan on eBay via getitnext and low and behold there are thousands of cool and strange cookie jars. There are also some very expensive vintage cookie jars. Below I've listed a quick sampling of some of my favorites (for various reasons).
Up first is this Harry Potter Cookie Jar, the bidding is fierce on this. From the seller description: This is a wonderful cookie jar. I got this jar at the Warner Bros. Store. It is from the first Harry Potter movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone". The total height is approx. 11" and the body is about 7 3/4" in diameter. The jar is in excellent condition no nicks, chips, cracks or crazing. This jar has never been out of the box until now. Now we are getting ready to retire and need to clear out. Personally clowns freak me out and I'd never have this thing sitting on my kitchen counter but I'm sure there are clown fans out there that might love this cookie jar. Aside from the clown when I think of traditional cookie jars like my grandmother had I think of McCoy. I think my search is complete. What better way to keep the kids away from all my precious cookies than this Octupus Cookie Jar. This thing would terrorize my children and will keep them at bay for a couple of years. Of course added sound effects from me will keep the fear alive.
