I am a huge Sony Blu-ray fan, I have a PS3 and absolutely love it. I only use it for playing movies, I actually don't own a single game for it, I know I know its a waste but I have zero time for gaming right now. When I purchased the PS3, one of the things I was dreading was having to buy my movie collection all over again. It's costly and its a duplication of more STUFF and basically a pain in the butt.
Once a bunch of decent titles came out on Blu-ray I decided to find the best deal that I could. So I decided to go to my good friend eBay of course via getitnext. Low and behold I found a sweet deal on 40 Blu-ray movies and instead of paying $25 - $30 bucks a title I bought the lot and they came to a little over $10 each. Yeh I know what you're thinking, I got a bunch of b-list movies but I actually picked up alot of movies that I wanted. Here's a quick sampling of some of the names: Casino Royale, The Untouchables, The Italian Job, Black Hawk Down, Lara Croft: Tomb Raider, The Departed, Babel, T2, Goodfellas and Night at the Museum just to name a few.
So if you're looking to beef up or establish your Blu-ray disc collection quick, check out these great deals on Blu-ray lot deals on eBay. Recently there was a 500 disc Blu-ray lot collection that sold for $1800, break that down by disc and thats 3 bucks a disc, WOW. Now 500 is alot for most average consumers but I'm sure a seller bought that lot and started selling them individually. For all you HD DVD fans, I don't want to leave you out in the cold, there are a couple HD DVD lot deals.
