We just got back from a wonderful week in Disney World. My children are ages 8 and 4 and both loved to pin trade all day long while we toured the parks. As you may know Disney pins are a big business and they are very expensive. Disney Pins are usually priced in the $7-$12 range and children are allowed to trade pins with any Disney cast member that displays a Disney lanyard. Now here's a trick that could save you bargain shoppers some dough. We bought a bulk lot of (30) Disney pins on GetItNext / eBay before our trip. Per pin it came out to 2.23 and my children traded all week long and now have a really nice collection. The key is it has to be a licensed Disney Pin in order be eligible for trading. This trip was the first time my daughter was interested in pins and at age 4 she had to come to grips with having to give a pin away in order to get another pin. In the beginning it was easy when the majority of the pins didn't interest her. But after she built up her collection that consisted of a Cinderella pin, Jasmine pin, Belle pin, Snow White pin, Aurora pin, Mickey pin, Minnie pin etc it became much more difficult. It was interesting watching her debate whether she truly wanted to trade the pin away or not.
