CNN has a great article titled Hybrids trick out, plug-in about a firm based in San Fran that will convert your Toyota Prius into an electric vehicle. The innovative company is called Luscious Garage and for the sum of $7000 they can turn your gas sipping Prius into a all electric plug-in electric hybrid. Luscious is a woman owned and operated green company (solar panels adorn the roof) that specializes in all types of repairs, mods and conversions of hybrids.
